Dr. Jeffrey Lee started his Army career in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. He was later selected to attend the Special Forces Qualification Course and, upon completion, graduated as a Special Forces (Green Beret) medic. He was assigned to 5th Special Forces Group and served as a medical sergeant until he was accepted into the physician training program at the Uniformed Services University of Health Science (USUHS). After graduating with his MD degree he was assigned to various conventional and special operations units. Throughout his military career he gained invaluable leadership experience as a healthcare professional and served multiple tours overseas.
After retiring from the Army in 2005 he founded Vighter with the goal of providing critical mission services to government contractors operating in high threat conflict zones around the world. Initially he operated as a one-person physician consultant, but as requests for services grew he focused on growing the business. Today the company has hundreds of dedicated employees performing services all over the world. Vighter has been ranked on the Inc 5000 list of the fastest growing businesses in the United States multiple times over the years and continues to grow year over year.
