Cyber Workforce Development
- Organize metropolitan efforts in each community and State recognition programs for middle and high school teams competing in the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot cyber defense competition
- Develop and offer cyber-based curriculum for Texas middle and high schools (Principles of Cybersecurity)
- Organize cyber workforce development initiatives supporting local, state and national efforts
- Implement cyber/cyber security Program of Study (POS) for middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities
- Lead community participation in cyber/cyber security exercises and training events
- Work with UTSA’s Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) and other Texas NSA/DHS CAE/IAE officials to develop, test, and exercise community Cyber Incident Management Plans to help prepare community leaders to effectively prepare for, manage and respond to a cyber incident
- Develop a consortium of public and private partnerships focused on information sharing processes and capabilities of the community public safety/homeland security community
