At Pen Test HackFest & Cyber Ranges Summit, you’ll enjoy two tracks of live-streamed Summit talks, explore a variety of cyber ranges and CtFs, and connect with the world’s leading cybersecurity practitioners. Following the Summit, SANS will host its most popular Live Online Pen Test courses.
HackFest Summit presentations are curated by our Summit chairs and are designed around a central offensive security theme, providing you with cutting-edge insight and skills to dramatically improve your organization’s defenses.
Cyber Ranges Track
This track will include a full day of thought-provoking and practical talks focused on how organizations and practitioners can make the most out of these invaluable hands-on training environments.
Cyber Ranges and CtFs
Cybersecurity professionals need hands-on, realistic training to remain sharp and proficient. Over two days, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a variety of ranges and CtFs while competing with cybersecurity practitioners from around the world.
Global Cyber Range Competition
The top 400 scorers of Mini NetWars Mission 3 will participate in this prestigious and exciting competition. We’re bringing the best in the world together to compete in the SANS Jupiter Rockets Cyber Range. The Global Cyber Range Competition awards will be held at the conclusion of the Cyber Ranges Summit track on June 5.
All attendees are eligible to participate in the below Cyber Ranges and Challenges. Leading up to the Summit, we’ll let attendees know when and how they can sign up for these ranges.
SANS NetWars – June 4-5 – 5:30-9:30 p.m. MDT (both days): The Summit will include two evenings of SANS NetWars challenges. NetWars is an action-packed challenge environment where participants can build their skills while having fun!
SANS Jupiter Rockets CtF – June 4-5 – 10:30 – 4:00 p.m. MDT (both days): Match your skills against other attendees in a vast real-world style challenge where you’re authorized to pen test all systems of a fictional company within a given scope and by established rules of engagement. You’ll be able to enter a realistic pen test against public web servers, email, FTP, all internal systems and development networks.
Fundamentals CtF – June 4 – 5 – Continuous from 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. MDT (both days): Not quite ready for NetWars or Jupiter Rockets? Master essential cybersecurity skills with the Fundamentals CtF.
